Technology has played the most crucial roles in human life. Our daily life is affected by the different gadgets like mobile, computer and different machines. Without it, we are helpless and can do nothing.
Slavery for Technology
People are living the life like back then when slavery used to exist. The only difference you can find in between slavery and technology is in slavery, you are fully aware that you are not free. Same as this technology has overruled the existence of humanity. If you see the existence of humanity over 50 years later, the only thing you will see is the technology ruling the humans as the slave.
The real danger is not that computers will begin to think like men, but that men will begin to think like computers. -Sydney Harris
Communication Skills Vanishes
Nowadays, people communication skills are vanishing as they don’t need face to face communication anymore. They can use phones, email, text, facebook as their communication devices. Technology is making people introvert rather than extrovert as interpersonal communications, critical to building business relationships, are more complicated and require courtesies and listening skills not necessary in social media. Too much reliance on electronic methods of communication not only can increase unnecessary traffic but can decrease vital personal interaction.
Less Value In Human Workers
At the same time, human workers retain less value, which is a disadvantage of technological advances. Because machines automate processes and do the work of 10 people with one computer, companies find they don’t need to employ as many people to get the job done. As machines and computers become even more advanced and efficient, this will continue to be a growing disadvantage of technology and an issue that has a global impact.
Security Problem in Business
Despite increased security efforts, there are always hacking risks from the outside and the internal threat of information theft from employees. Many employees in staff positions need to have access to financial and personal data from customers and clients. Monitoring employees to protect the information can raise employee privacy issues. Securing passwords and access to information, and screening employees prior to issuing access are necessary challenges that add to company costs and risk employee relations.
